Walter Welch and Benjamin Baker found guilty on an indictment for a burglary in the dwelling house of George Wagstaffe in the parish of Battersea on 13^th December 1792:  stealing therefrom a woollen cloth coat (value at 30/-), a man’s hat (valued at 6/-), 4 linen shirts (valued at 12/-), 3 pairs of worsted stockings (valued at 3/-), a watch with silver cases (valued at £2), a silver tablespoon (valued at 3/-), 5 silver salt cellars (valued at 16/-), a silver pepper box (valued at 10/-), 4 silver salt spoons (valued at 4/-), 4 silver teaspoons (valued at 6/-), pair of silver tea tongs (valued at 6/-), and a pair of silver studs (valued at 1/-) - the goods and chattels of George Wagstaffe; and a watch with gold cases (valued at £10), a stone seal set in silver (value at 10/-), a steel chain (valued at 2/-), a silver milk pot (valued at 10/-), 2 silver teaspoons (valued at 3/-), a silver toothpick  case (valued at 5/-),  a paste stay set in silver (valued at 5/-), 2 gold mourning rings (valued at £1), 2 satin cloaks trimmed with lace (value at £4), a silk cloak trimmed with lace (valued at 30/-), 2 cotton gowns (valued at £1), 8 muslin aprons (valued at 24/-), 9 muslin neck handkerchiefs (valued at 18/-), 8 pairs of cotton stockings  (valued at 8/-), 3 linen handkerchiefs (valued at 3/-), 3 silk handkerchiefs (valued at 6/-) and 12 gold guineas - the goods, chattels and money of Ann Rimers, widow..
